Day 01

Arusha → Tarangire National Park

Your journey begins in Arusha, the gateway to Tanzania's wild frontier. After a brief safari briefing, we set off for Tarangire National Park (approx. 2-3 hours). Known for its dramatic herds of elephants and prehistoric-looking baobab trees, Tarangire offers a landscape unlike any other in Northern Tanzania. On your afternoon game drive, expect to see massive elephant families congregating around the Tarangire River, the lifeblood of the park during the dry season. Keep your camera ready for lions, giraffes, and zebras as they navigate the tall grasslands.

A Full Day in the Heart of Tarangire

Dedicate a full day to exploring every corner of Tarangire. This park is famous for its high concentration of wildlife, particularly giants like elephants and buffalo. With a full day at your disposal, we venture deeper into the park's varied ecosystems—from the lush swamps to the dry savannah plains. Your guide will track predators like leopards draped over acacia branches and prides of lions seeking shade. A bush picnic lunch allows you to dine surrounded by the sights and sounds of the wild, maximizing every minute of your safari experience.

Day 03

Tarangire → Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, we depart for Lake Manyara (approx. 1.5-2 hours). This lush, green gem is nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. The park is a bird-watcher's paradise, with thousands of flamingos turning the lake shores pink. As we weave through the mahogany forests and acacia woodlands, we search for the legendary tree-climbing lions—a rare behavior unique to this region. Keep an eye out for curious baboons, playful forest monkeys, and hippos cooling off in the shallow waters.

The Ngorongoro Crater Floor Safari

Rise early to descend into the "Eighth Wonder of the World"—the Ngorongoro Crater. This 600-meter deep caldera is home to over 30,000 animals, creating one of the most concentrated wildlife havens on Earth. This is your best chance to witness the "Big Five" in a single day. We'll track the rare black rhino across the crater floor, watch lions prowling the Lerai Forest, and observe massive bull elephants roaming the wetlands. The sheer density of predators and prey within the crater walls ensures an action-packed day of heart-stopping sightings.

Ngorongoro → Arusha (Departure)

On your final morning, enjoy a relaxed breakfast with views over the Crater Highlands. You may choose an optional morning activity, such as a visit to a local Maasai village to learn about traditional cultures or a stop at a panoramic viewpoint for a final photo of the caldera. We then begin our journey back to Arusha (approx. 3-4 hours). We will assist with your transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport or your hotel, marking the end of your unforgettable Northern Circuit adventure with Wildboar Safaris.
